3D Image Protocols Development

Protocol development at CICAS is focused on developing new image processing and display methods that can improve preoperative and intraoperative studies of imaging data.

Different surgical applications in cranial, spinal and other neurosurgical subspecialties require that various anatomical features be displayed accurately so they can be distinguished from other images. The goal is to develop specific protocols that can highlight brain, tumor, bone, soft tissue, and other details in diagnostic imaging data so the surgeon has the optimum view of those tissues during surgical procedures.
